God’s Throne is our topic for today, taken from Heb. 4:16. A throne is the seat of a dignitary or a king. It is a usually a symbol of authority. God’s throne according to Heb. 4:16 is the throne of grace. Grace in the sense that Heb. 4:14 makes us to understand that Jesus the son of God is our great high priest who has gone to heaven, and this high priest of ours understand our weaknesses, since he had lived on earth and had the same temptation we do. Though he never once gave way to them and sinned. Jesus our high priest was victorious over Sin and he has the power to deliver us from every hold of sin, darkness and the devil.
All these prompted the call in verse 16 of our text. We are not to run away from God when we fall. God knows our weaknesses, he is always there watching and waiting for us to run his throne of grace and stay there to receive his mercy and to find grace to help us in our times of need.
No Matter how hopeless you think your life is, or how deep you think you have gone into sin, God’s throne of mercy is there for you, calling. God can still pick you, Clean You and Fix you up. Run to God’s Throne, Don’t Run from God.
