Nigerian creative, comedian, and multi-instrumentalist EmmaOMG brings an electric explosion of joy and gratitude in his vibrant anthem, “Birthday Praise.” Performing alongside his renowned group, The OhEmGee Band, EmmaOMG turns the marking of a new age into an uninhibited, community-wide worship celebration. The track seamlessly fuses traditional Yoruba praise medleys with high-energy Highlife grooves, talking drums, and modern Afro-gospel fusion, creating an irresistible atmosphere of thanksgiving.
At its heart, “Birthday Praise” centers on deep gratitude for life, preserved health, and divine protection. Through his trademark humor, infectious energy, and heartfelt delivery, EmmaOMG reflects on God’s unfailing goodness from birth through every milestone. The song serves as a reminder that every added year is a profound testimony of grace, encouraging listeners to pause, dance, and offer unreserved praise to the Giver of life.
Driven by rich horn sectionals, dynamic percussion swells, and lively call-and-response backing vocals, the record builds into an ecstatic celebration. EmmaOMG’s charismatic lead vocals guide the listener through a colorful musical tapestry that feels less like a studio release and more like an authentic, live Nigerian faaji party centered on worship.
